Terms and conditions

Please read in full before booking.

PAYMENT

By Bank Transfer (UK only), preferred method.  By Paypal. If you wish to pay by card (debit or credit) I will send a Paypal invoice to you with a link to the secure Paypal site. It is not necessary for you to sign up to a Paypal account to use their payment system in this way.

I ask for a £60 deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due on completion.  A digital proof of the completed artwork will be sent for your approval, following which an invoice will be sent.  Payment is due on receipt of invoice and prior to despatch.

POSTAGE

Portraits are sealed in archival-safe cellophane sleeves and securely packaged to ensure their safe delivery. UK packing & postage £15, via Royal Mail Next Day (Mon-Fri) Fully Tracked, Signed For & Insured. Signature required. Saturday guaranteed delivery available at small additional cost. Allow 3 days for Scottish Highlands and outlying areas of UK.

International postage arranged through a secure tracked service. Prices vary depending on destination and are available on request.  Deliveries outside the UK may be subject to customs charges when they arrive in the destination country. The cost varies and is paid by the customer, so please check with your local customs office for details before placing your order.

Important: Someone will need to be present to receive the parcel at the given address on delivery. A re-delivery may incur additional charges.  Please check your parcel for damages before signing for it as failure to do so could invalidate any compensation claim if damages are subsequently discovered after signing.

REFUND POLICY

A great deal of time and care will be invested in creating your commission piece and of course I hope you will love it. I will send you a digital proof of the completed work for your written approval before requesting payment. If you subsequently receive the portrait and wish to return it, I will refund the payment, less £60 deposit and p&p, provided you notify me by email within 14 days of receipt of the artwork and return it to Suzanne Lycett at the address provided on the invoice within 14 days of notification, undamaged, in its original packaging or packed securely.  The safekeeping of the artwork remains the sender's responsibility whilst in return transit so it is highly recommended that a signed for, tracked and insured delivery service is used. Refunds will be paid within 14 days of receipt of returned work, provided it is received in perfect condition.  Please note, I retain the rights to my work (see copyright) and returned portraits may be added to my website gallery or posted on social media.
